Origins and Early Acquisitions
At Storyteller, we believe adventure is for everyone. In 2019, we launched our first adventure vehicle, the MODE4x4, the most modular, multi-use Class B adventure van the world had ever seen. With our acquisition of Flarespace and GoCamp, we expanded our adventure galaxy to support explorers who want to build their own home on wheels or experience van life before choosing their preferred mode of exploration.

Dreaming Big
In 2021, Storyteller acquired Global Expedition Vehicles, a legendary expedition vehicle manufacturer with 20 years of industry-leading experience. Leveraging GXV's knowledge and team, Storyteller launched the world’s first build-and-repeat adventure truck, the GXV HILT. This process introduced a product to the adventure truck market that feels as brilliant as a custom build while maintaining Storyteller’s renowned craftsmanship and quality control.

Branching Out
In April 2024, Storyteller acquired TAXA Outdoors and launched the MODE XO. With TAXA joining the Storyteller galaxy, we can now support adventurers seeking to start their journey with a lightweight, highly versatile camping habitat and overlanding utility trailer. The MODE XO introduced a new floor plan for our Class B adventure vans, catering to the community of adventurers who believe a full wet/dry bath is essential for endless exploration.

What is the EPIC?

The GXV EPIC is built on the Kenworth K-370 chassis with a Cummins 6.7L diesel motor, Allison 3500 HD transmission, and features our exclusive 4x4 conversion with true locking front and rear differentials—ensuring you’ll run out of road before you run out of truck. Equipped with King shocks, Alcoa rims, 44-inch Goodyear tires, and a 200-gallon aluminum diesel fuel tank, this expedition vehicle truly lives up to its name.
The EPIC is designed to outlast the elements, offering everything you need to venture beyond the frontier in comfortable luxury, completely self-sustained and off-grid.
