New Leadership for

Our Favorite Adventure Van Rental Company

GoCamp, a subsidiary of Storyteller Overland and a leader in the camper van rental industry, continues to experience exciting change in its seventh year of business. As Camila Ramirez and Janice Hsu move on to new adventures, Tyler Duke, CTO of Storyteller Overland, steps in as the new CEO of GoCamp.

For over a year, Duke has played a pivotal role in shaping GoCamp’s technology, advising on strategic initiatives, and reenvisioning the consumer facing product that enables rentals on GoCamp’s peer-to-peer platform.

Now, with Duke leading GoCamp as the CEO, GoCamp is positioned to put technology enhancements at the forefront of the business, helping GoCamp grow to new heights with a fresh perspective on strategic thinking and evolution of the business model.

Duke’s enthusiasm is clearly stated in his initial thoughts about GoCamp, “I am excited for the opportunity to work with such an amazing team, while we work for such an incredible owner community. We focus on creating amazing experiences that become lasting memories, which is the best success metric there is. It’s an honor to do all of this alongside such talented and passionate people!"

Duke’s vast experience in technology, strategy, and operations for start-ups, makes him a desired CEO for a fast growing company, such as GoCamp. His proven track record of building and motivating teams, while expediting expansion efforts, puts GoCamp in great hands as part of the Storyteller Galaxy.

GoCamp’s leadership team is complemented by Melissa Kroger. Kroger brings 10+ years of experience working with digital brands to build new audiences, increase revenue and develop creative marketing solutions in competitive markets. As Vice President of Growth and Experience, Kroger manages the Customer Experience team driving personalized experiences for owners and renters, while overseeing marketing initiatives, and leading strategic operational decisions.

Rounding out the leadership team is Claire Witcomb as Operations Manager. With many years of experience in risk management and finance, Witcomb now oversees the day to day financial needs of the business, internal processes and systems, and protection plans for renters and owners.

With these changes, GoCamp is diving into the second half of the year with new energy, direction, and aspirations.

About GoCamp

GoCamp provides camper van travel experiences, connecting renters to owners, through a peer-to-peer marketplace. The GoCamp fleet is specifically curated with camper vans and Class B RVs, ensuring that every rental offers something unique. GoCamp onboards exceptional van owners, who foster unforgettable experiences, while bringing new life and community into the RV rental market. The high quality service and expert industry knowledge have continued to distinguish GoCamp from other rental platforms.

The Heart of GoCamp

GoCamp’s van owners bring the business to life, creating special moments with individual touches and beautiful vans that provide memorable getaways for every renter. GoCamp partners with each owner to provide guidance, support and meaningful experiences. These relationships remain as the heart of GoCamp.

"The GoCamp team and experience has made it all possible. A guys' weekend biking trip to Bend got us imagining how we could build out a Sprinter and offset some of our biking adventures by working with GoCamp. After consulting with GoCamp on the ideal spec, the build-out began and 6 months later we released Funner (named after a singletrack ride we love in Bend) into the GoCamp community. Since then, we balance personal use with meeting and introducing Funner to absolutely fantastic guests looking for their own adventures. GoCamp has been terrific all along the way. And we’ve found a partnership that allows us to own and use a van while fitting it into a budget."

“Happy Chappy is my pride and joy, and nothing makes me happier than sharing him with fellow adventure seekers! GoCamp has been an outstanding partner and stands by my side with complete support before, during and after each rental. Their commitment to excellence and adventurer satisfaction shines through in the glowing reviews from Happy’s customers, and has been instrumental to our success. I could not have achieved this without their unwavering support and expertise. Our partnership with GoCamp is a testament to the power of collaboration and the shared passion for adventure!"

"Working with GoCamp has always been easy! Their knowledgeable team is always there to answer questions and guide you step-by-step through the process of renting your camper van. Unlike other peer-to-peer platforms, GoCamp prioritizes both van owners and guests equally, creating a truly unique and supportive experience for everyone."

“We’ve been renting our van, The Sally Ride, a 2021 Storyteller Overland, with GoCamp almost as long as we’ve had it. (Nearly 4 years!) GoCamp has been helpful, kind, responsive, and operated with integrity every step of the way. They do business like I do business and that’s made it a great partnership. They are able to walk the line of caring deeply for renters and van owners and striving to do what is right, fair, and FUN! I cannot imagine going it alone in the rental market or with any other company. Their support has been key.”
