CANCELED: Back to Baja 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we have decided to cancel the Back to Baja 2023 event.

FEB 17, 2023
Connecting our community to stellar experiences has always been our top priority. As you all know, last April, we gathered to celebrate the joys of vanlife with hundreds of fellow adventurers in Baja, Mexico, and we had plans to travel south of the border with you all again for Back to Baja 2023 this April.

Unfortunately, due to travel advisories issued by the U.S. Department of State and a number of other factors beyond our control, we have decided to err on the side of caution and keep our adventures north of the border this year.

The decision to cancel “Back to Baja 2023” was not an easy one to make. We know a lot of our friends have been traveling throughout Baja over the winter and have been having some great adventures and experiences together down there, but for our part as we enter the final stages of planning “Back to Baja,” we simply don’t want to press anyone’s luck or be cavalier in any way about everyone’s safety in traveling to or from our event.

We will issue a full refund for tickets and sponsorships that have been sold thus far.

But there’s good news! When one trail comes to an end… we blaze a new one! So we still want to rally with you the weekend of April 20-24, but the rally vector is changing. Come join us at the Journal of Lost Time’s Weird Wild West event in Bisbee, AZ, for a weekend of vanlife bliss against the backdrop of a super vibey and free-spirited old mining town.

In closing, we want to repeat something we’ve said many times before: it’s not the journey or the destination, it’s the people you connect with along the way. Thank you so much for being our people and for understanding our circumstances. And thank you for our amazing team in Baja, Mexico, who made the event so successful last year. We hope to work with you again in the future when the event makes more sense for us.

Please reach out to us with any concerns, and someone will be in touch ASAP.
