Storyteller Overland offers four adventure vans in its 2023 lineup: MODE LT, Classic MODE, Stealth MODE, and Beast MODE.

Each van will help you live a more adventurous life, but things like exterior upgrades and fuel requirements make each model a little different.

Here's a full breakdown of what makes each MODE different so you can find the perfect one for your lifestyle.

MODE LT

The Storyteller Overland MODE LT is the newest addition to the lineup. It was announced on July 4, 2021, and customers started getting their new LTs in 2022.

This is the only adventure van on the Storyteller lineup on the Ford Transit chassis. This is appealing to a lot of people for its wide network of Ford dealerships and access to service. It also means it's the only gasoline-powered van you can get from Storyteller – the other MODEs are fueled by diesel.

As far as weights and measurements, the Storyteller Ford Transit is mostly the same as the Mercedes Sprinter, but you do get a few more inches of space in the MODE LT. Here's a full breakdown of those specs:

A lot of those who drive the MODE LT say it drives more like a car and has more "get up and go."

The MODE LT comes in at $171,429 in 2023, making it the lowest price point on the Storyteller lineup. But if a Sprinter is what you want to drive, the Classic MODE is priced just slightly above the LT at $175,887 in 2023.

Classic MODE

What makes it stand out: Storyteller's base model, lowest price point on the Sprinter chassis

Before it was the "Classic MODE," this van was just the Storyteller Overland MODE4x4. It's the first model Storyteller started producing back in 2019.

This is perfect for those who are seeking a simple way to lead a more adventurous life. It doesn't have all of the exterior upgrades that you'll find on the Stealth or Beast, but many customers will purchase a Classic and then add on their own upgrades.

Being on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis, the Classic MODE has a few comfort upgrades when compared to the LT. The Sprinters have heated, leather seats, a parking package with 360° cameras, attention and blind spot assist, and smartphone wireless charging.

Stealth MODE

The Storyteller Stealth MODE is currently the most popular van on the lineup. The grey color options and minimal branding make it perfect for parking in an urban setting without being so obvious that it's an adventure van (hence the name Stealth MODE).

Beast MODE

What makes it stand out: a full suite of exterior upgrades

If you were asked to list all of the things that would make up your dream adventure van, you would end up with a description of the Storyteller Overland Beast MODE.

The Storyteller Beast MODE was officially released into the wild in 2020 as our good friend, Jillian Rebekah, took it out to help test the boundaries of an adventure van on trails all across the Western U.S. It's infinitely capable inside and out so you'll never again have to sacrifice comfort for adventure.

Let's dive into a couple of these. The Boost MODE is something you can only get by purchasing a Beast. Here's how it works: if your van's battery charge falls below 25%, your van will automatically kick into high idle to recharge the battery. So, for example, if you need to leave your furry friends in the van with the A/C on all day, you don't have to worry about a dead battery while you're out and about.

The Ride Improvement Package from Agile Offroad is what helps the Beast tackle any terrain. "With increased ride height & improved damping, your rig will be more capable off-road while becoming more comfortable & responsive back on the pavement," the product description reads.
